Exploring AI and Culture in Dublin with Erasmus+

Thanks to the Erasmus+ program, from June 30 to July 5, 2025, I was fortunate to attend the course “AI and Digital Tools in Education” in the lively city of Dublin, Ireland. The week was a perfect mix of learning and discovery: we explored new tools such as Magic School, Character AI, Gamma, Mentimeter, DeepAI and Leonardo AI, but also took time to reflect on bigger questions—like how to guide our students through digital citizenship, online behavior and the risks of cyberbullying. This was one of the most eye-opening parts of the training for me, and one that feels especially relevant in today’s classrooms. The course was also steeped in Irish culture. I brushed up on my English while l

earning local proverbs and expressions, and enjoyed visits to Trinity College and the Book of Kells, the Museum of Literature Ireland, and even a full-day trip to Howth (the sea views were simply unforgettable!). These moments outside the classroom gave me the chance to connect with colleagues from all over Europe in a more relaxed and informal way. This Erasmus+ experience has been truly inspiring, both personally and professionally. I return home with new ideas, new friendships, and plenty of motivation.
